On behalf of SHOT I am advertising their vacancy for a Clinical Incidents Specialist.

Please note this is a SHOT vacancy, not MHRA and is entirely separate from the Principal Haemovigilance Specialist post advertised last week.

Dear Colleague,

We have a unique opportunity for someone with the relevant clinical experience and qualifications to join the SHOT team as a Band 7 Clinical Incidents Specialist. This is a replacement post. There are brief further details below and full information can be found on the NHS Jobs site with the application details https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/xi/vacancy/1988e7fa19feeec293bd70dfb826a04a/?vac_ref=914757687

The SHOT Clinical Incidents Specialist is responsible for the detailed analysis, interpretation and reporting of clinically-based SHOT data. The primary role is to produce reports, presentations, surveys and studies for the Annual SHOT Report, peer reviewed journals, symposia and for other publications and presentations. Significant clinical experience in an acute hospital, community or public health setting will be needed for this post, along with excellent interpersonal skills and, together with the team, the ability to influence change.

The post-holder should be able to critically appraise relevant literature and interpret complex and sometimes conflicting data. Sufficient computer literacy and familiarity with handling spreadsheets and databases together with standard clinical audit tools will be required.

For further information, please contact the SHOT office on 0161 423 4208, shot@nhsbt.nhs.uk to speak to the SHOT Medical Director, Paula Bolton-Maggs, or the SHOT Operations Manager, Alison Watt.

Kind regards, Paula
