Assessing need for staff for a hospital research department
Hi everybody,
For all of you who work in a hospital clinical research department: do you have any experience in assessing the number of staff members needed according to the department's workload? (in order to have enough staff who can conduct the studies according to the regulations).
I'd like to know ways to assess need for staff taking into account parameters such as: study type (interventional, observational,...), study status (in start-up, open to recruitment, in follow-up,...), recruitment targets (predicted and actual), number of study visits and procedures,...
Do you generally translate all this information into WTEs? How?
Thank you!
