    Protocol training

    Dear all,
If clinical investigator is one of the reviewer of protocol, can he give training to study personnel or is it required that he should get training from principal investigator and than he can give training.

The Principle Investigator (PI) is responsible for conducting the trial themselves or prospectively documenting delegating specific tasks to appropriately experienced, qualified and trained individuals. If an individual has documentation of appropriate training on the protocol, then provided that the PI delegates the task, that individual may be appropriate to deliver protocol training. However knowledge of the protocol and ability to adequately deliver training, are two different things! Obviously the PI remains in change, as overall responsibility and must have documented oversight of any individual that has been delegated.
