Third country sponsor in UK

I recently received a trial where one of the trial co-ordinator from our site said it is sponsored by one of the pharma company outside EU but Investigator belongs to our site.. I know the drug and document supplied by the pharma company which is based in outside EU. I am thinking that due to insurance and safety reason the pharma company should appoint someone to act as legal representative.

In this case who will be sponsor, the pharma company or our hospital? If we act as sponsor do we need to have any agreement with pharma company. please explore.
